Wijnne Barends returns to Damen Maaskant Shipyards Stellendam due to its excellent facilities and services
Excellent services and facilities have contributed to Wijnne Barends choosing to return to Damen Maaskant Shipyards Stellendam for repair work to ‘Lady Nona’.
Other factors included first-rate and fast work, a skilled workforce, accessible location of shipyard and short communication lines between the client and yard.
‘Lady Nona’ was drydocked in Damen Maaskant Shipyards Stellendam number three for repair work and a painting programme. The vessel is managed by Wijnne Barends, who has been a regular customer of Damen Maaskant Shipyards Stellendam for many years.
A very short time period was allowed for the project, as ‘Lady Nona’ had a loading job booked but Maaskant planned the project well and succeeded in completing the job within a week.

Welding
In addition, work was carried out to the hatches and hatch crane to ensure ‘Lady Nona’ meets the new regulations (via Netherlands State Flag). New profiles were supplied by the customer and welded to the vessel by the team at Maaskant which also welded the hatch rails.
Superintendent Johan Van der Zee was very satisfied with the works performed and is happy to return.
