Damen Shiprepair & Conversion (DSC) operates globally and no matter where we are we are committed to protecting and ensuring the health and safety of our employees, customers, subcontractors, suppliers and anyone else who comes into contact with our operations. We demand a 'zero incident mindset' and respect for the environment of all employees, contractors and partners.

You will always be in a safe and controlled work environment, whichever Damen yard you choose. Since we operate globally and each country has its own standards and legislation, we have implemented our DSC HSE standard to ensure a consistently high quality approach across the entire group. All our yards are obligated to maintain this HSE group standard as a minimum.

Ongoing risk assessments

Our management teams play an active role in the prevention of injury, illness and pollution by making sure these matters remain a top priority during every project. Any health, safety or environmental hazard, foreseeable and unforeseeable, is mitigated through our ongoing risk assessments, individual training and evaluation. Furthermore, we apply a ‘lessons-learnt system’ and maintain ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and/or OHSAS 18001 standards.
